Why are her parents telling how bad she is, why would Mitch do this interview? If it's important to give Amy compliments right now, how will she feel when she sees this? This is painting a pretty bad picture of Amy, and she may as well be in a bad shape, but why is he telling it for all the world to know?

Mainly because of feeling powerless, is my guess.

Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

This makes me feel like crying. I dont know what else to say at the moment.

What an invasion of privacy!!@#$. What a shark!

Why can't her family just keep her out of the limelight?!@#$...we don't have to know these personal and (should be) private goings on!

The daily goings on should be their private pain....till she digs herself out of this.

What a circus! and Amy is the "trained animal" for us to gawk at?!

I liked her dad, mostly, but this just leads me to believe that he really is twisted if he thinks this serves her well...and that should be what is foremost in his mind...nothing else!

I'm left wondering exactly what is wrong, and what is the prognosis. Clearly there is a problem with alcohol and I think she still has an eating disorder. What is causing the child-like behavior? Is it mental illness or brain damage? Is this a permanent condition or can she recover from it?

I don't think it's right to release it while she's still in trauma.

yes sarah, it ends there.
if Amy has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, then she deff appeared manic to me in the video and sounds that way at the restaurant. or maybe over the top with nerves, excitement...what do I know. She is awful thin though.

Ditto.

That video isn't working very well for me, is "which is so much fun" the last thing they say or is the video just blocking?

I had the same problem...and coincidentally had a Java pop-up to advise me that I could update, which I stupidly chose to cancel.

Then I noticed that the vid showed "Error. Click for details" on the top left of he vid...and the details were all about Java errors....so maybe updating Java is the thing to do.

It's hard to diagnose anybody on the internet. Docs have enough trouble when you're sitting in front of them. It took doctors over 15 years to change my diagnosis from major depression to bipolar I. Amy matched bipolar symptoms and borderline personality disorder symptoms. She may be neither. She may be a bit of both.

No doctor would diagnose her when she's drinking so much. So, the first, major problem she has now is alcoholism. If she doesn't quit drinking, I don't think that she has a chance.

This is WAAAY to personal for me to feel a right to watch, honestly. The whole thing has a very sick, invasive feel to it. She's a HUMAN BEING, not a freak show! And Daphne Barak just eats this shit up! Sick bitch!
There's so much blame to go around, it's hard to know where to start.

Is this a permanent condition or can she recover from it?

I copied/pasted your question into the I Ching:

41. Sun - Decrease

-----
-- -- above Kên Keeping Still, Mountain
-- --
-- --
----- below Tui The Joyous, Lake
-----

The Judgement

Decrease combined with sincerity
Brings about supreme good fortune
Without blame.
One may be persevering in this.
It furthers one to undertake something.
How is this to be carried out?
One may use two small bowls for the sacrifice.

The Image

At the foot of the mountain, the lake:
The image of Decrease.
Thus the superior man controls his anger
And restrains his instincts.

Changing Lines

Changing yang at the bottom means:
Going quickly when one's tasks are finished
Is without blame.
But one must reflect on how much one may decrease others.

Changing yang in the second place means:
Perseverance furthers.
To undertake something brings misfortune.
Without decreasing oneself,
One is able to bring increase to others.

Changing yang at the top means:
If one is increased without depriving others,
There is no blame.
Perseverance brings good fortune.
It furthers one to undertake something.
One obtains servants
But no longer has a separate home.

Changes to:

2. K'un - The Receptive

-- --
-- -- above K'un The Receptive, Earth
-- --
-- --
-- -- below K'un The Receptive, Earth
-- --

The Judgement

The Receptive brings about sublime success,
Furthering through the perseverance of a mare.
If the superior man undertakes something and tries to lead,
He goes astray;
But if he follows, he finds guidance.
It is favorable to find friends in the west and south,
To forego friends in the east and north.
Quiet perseverance brings good fortune.

The Image

The earth's condition is receptive devotion.
Thus the superior man who has breadth of character
Carries the outer world.

Can't imagine a more positive response!

None of the online I Chings are both good & easy. This one is good but you need to know how it all works.

I dont want to jump in and judge mitch straight away saying hes doing it for money etc.. i dont agree with it but there may be a number of reasons...

if Amy had agreed to do the documentry then maybe he didnt want her to do it alone maybe he wanted to in a way 'supervise'
or maybe he wanted to get his side across and show people how hard it is for him...
or maybe he knows what a loveable person amy is and he wants the public to see that rather than what the papers make her out to be.

whatever the reason, she isnt in a fit mental state to be filmed and be exploited...i just hope the final outcome gives a good representation of Amy rather than entertainment to the public.

Wow, Alan! What a deep analysis it is. I'm gonna read this over and over.
Seems she has to calm down, REALLY calm down, decrease, and accept help from good people, people who are prepared to take the long road with her, and then she'll succeed. This is my first impression.
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

"It is favorable to find friends in the west and south,
To forego friends in the east and north."

So...this means that she should stay in St. Lucia, not north London...
