Pretty nice interview.
I wish she would've started her own jazz club! :P I'm glad she liked 'You Sent Me Flying,' that's one of my favorite songs. :)
"There's enough shit music around." So true. She never conformed to what was popular.

R.I.P Amy Jade Winehouse. Once in a lifetime voice.

I love the idea of the Jazz Club too - When she says about Mitch singing in it! Yeah, I can imagine it! Never heard her mention it before but what a good idea! Wish it had of happened :(

He compared her to Norah Jones.. hahah! She's said so many times how she hates being compared to her... I don't even see any similarities. Norah Jones' music is so boring and tired.

A very nice interview, though!
Just a fellow fan of the supremely talented songstress, Amy Jade Winehouse.

At least Norah has a great respect for Amy. I just wish she would be MORE inspired by her! ;) I think Amy had a real intention to be different and knew she stood out and all of the so-called jazz people at the time were not real jazz and she had the guts to say it... she was original, she was different, not them! And that girl was right about everything when it came to music.

It's a Dutch interviewer. How lovely she is and she sounds so normal and articulate, no stuttering; when did that happen..So now we know it's Take the box that she did'nt like on the record. And unfortunately she probably would have hated Hidden Treasures especially Will you still love me tomorrow with all the arrangements(?)I hate that song too; the way it is (over)produced.
What a nice girl she was before all the madness, what a shame...

Amy was a nice girl during the madness too. She just hid her dark side more before Back to Black. But somewhere we have on here Mitch saying she didn't like "Amy, Amy, Amy" although I agree she didn't like the strings on Take the Box and probably wouldn't like what they did with that cover! Amy was always great stripped down. Her voice was a wonderful instrument!

Of course she always was a nice and very sweet person. But she was so normal and focused here. I meant what a shame that things happended that made her change so much. She really changed a lot.
