Oh, god. It's so hard to watch her sing this. I'm glad that they're at least not booing her and bullying her off the stage like alot of other gigs, but I have to admit even that seems better than having her on here suffering with people turning a blind eye to it.

That performance was as bad as Belgrade's. It is a shame especially because it would have been incredible to have a full set sang only voice and keyboard like that on this post-2009 period when her voice was sounding so mature and jazzier than ever.

I'm sure it has to do with the fact it was for a children's charity event.

Oh man, that was gut-wrenching. I guess this confirms now, that her whole set was a mess, and it wasn't just a fluke that 'Back to Black' was bad. It still amazes me that the press gave her such a good write-up for this appearance, when there were so many other times when she performed quite well and they totally dissed her.

Amy, if you are up there listening, thank you for sharing the incredible soundtracks of your life ...

Well obviously, but it was still nice to see they weren't hurting her as much as crowds usually would have. But I agree, it would've been inappropriate to do so anyways since it was for that sort of thing. Maybe the press write-up was just because she showed up, since it didn't look much like a star-studded event.

I also remember finding it strange at the time that this show wasn't criticized, it's a s bad as Belgrade! This was an all time low for Amy (and one of the rare times where she performed without beehive, as if she couldn't even be fucked or ran out of time to get ready).

The crowd don't exactly boo her, but they're not very impressed with her either. There's some giggling in the footage, but also on another video, I remember her trying to engage with the crowd by saying to one woman in the front row : "you should smile, you're pretty"...and I just pictured this woman scowling at Amy. I think here she showed the same vulnerability and defensiveness as she did in Belgrade.

The problem with Amy was that, on top of being held down by her substance abuse problems, she was in the public eye all the while. Being a drug user that constantly messes about and ruins themselves in the slums of a small city is nothing uncommon, but being a five-grammy winning artist, and to have that problem is awful. The way people laughed at her just makes me angry, and then to go on after her death to call her a 'troubled, and talented artist' and other two-faced, snakey sayings like that is just evil.
