There is strength in numbers.. I believe in the power of prayer and it's ability to conquer what human frailty sometimes cannot overcome alone. I have been praying for Amy and will say an extra one for her tonight. Wonderful thread.

Although I do not profess to "know" Amy... I know what a special spirit she is.. I know it in my heart and I would like to share a poem that expresses that feeling:

One needs to remain un-cynical about fallen angels, as in fact, aren't we all just that? Let those with remembrance of flying, fly, or in Amy's case, write and sing a songbook full, including all of Human Experience, for only then can it be called full. No-one who is truly creative can ignore or neglect one's own demons, and to me, in a strange way, that's comforting.

Our prayers have been answered I think, to a far greater degree than any of us had ever hoped. I'm praying once again that she continues her recovery and finds her way back to continued better health and am grateful for the blessings she has received.

May she find herself inspired to break loose from the spirits that feed on her pain, taking her down, in order so that she can allow her spirits to be lifted to a level where she finds herself inspired to write about it, as before, with self-transcending honesty, for that is and will always be Amy's great talent.
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

A Prayer for the innocents
God,care for this little one. Watch over her in all her innocence. Guard, guide, protect. She is so vulnerable in this world gone awry. Abuse abounds. She has no shield, no defence. Be her shield, O Lord. Be her defence. Send your holy angels to protect this child.
Protect Her as she skips on the beach
Protect her as she plays in the sand.
Protect her as she sleeps through the night.
Protect her from all physical harm.
Protect her from all emotional harm.
Protect her from all spiritual harm.
Keep her from the influence of evil :
from evil friendships,
from evil thoughts,
from evil acts.
This I ask in the name of Jesus who always welcomed the little ones into his presence.
Amen.
