If my ma'am was fighting
Some unholy war
I would be behind her
Straight shook up beside her
With strength she didn't know
It's you I'm fighting for
She can't lose with me in tow
I refuse to let her go
At her side and drunk on pride
We wait for the blow

We put it in writing
But who you writing for
Just us on kitchen floor
Justice done,
Reciting my stomach standing still
Like you're reading my will
She still stands in spite of what her scars say
I'll battle till this bitter finale
Just me, my dignity and this guitar case

Yes my ma'am is fighting some unholy war
And I will stand beside you
Who you fighting for
B - I would have died too
I'd of liked to
If my ma'am was fighting
Some unholy war
If my ma'am was fighting

And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word

No. That's not it. B MIGHT stand for Blake, brother or boy.

Found the lyrics:

If my man was fighting
Some unholy war
I would be behind him
Straight shook up beside him
With strength he didn't know
It's you I'm fighting for

> He can't lose with me in tow
I refuse to let him go
At his side and drunk on pride
We wait for the blow

We put it in writing
But who you writing for
Just us on kitchen floor
Justice done,
Reciting my stomach standing still
[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com]
Like you're reading my will
He still stands in spite of what his scars say
I'll battle till this bitter finale
Just me, my dignity and this guitar case

Yes my man is fighting some unholy war
And I will stand beside you
Who you fighting for
B - I would have died too
I'd of liked to
If my man was fighting
Some unholy war
If my man was fighting

In this life, we each create our own heaven and hell. (Conversation overhead on the bus)

It's Blake if I remember correctly, and the first song she wrote for B2B.

I always assumed it was B-Lake aswell...

Considering it's well known that when they met Blake was a mess and such it all makes sense.

B is the initial of my ex aswel. I hate this song for all it means to me.

Well I don't remember where or when but she did say that Unholy War is the first song about Blake that she wrote for B2B.

She said it at a gig. Shepperd's Bush perhaps?
And she said she never quite got it to sound the way she wanted.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Yes! I adore her explanation about how it should sound like a symphony as it took over a year to get complete and that it's not that good... and I quite agree! The live version pisses from a height on the recording. It should be slower as it was on Shepperd's Bush, absolutely amazing. If she hadn't been that drunk it'd have been the best concert ever.
