Yes! I adore her explanation about how it should sound like a symphony as it took over a year to get complete and that it's not that good... and I quite agree! The live version pisses from a height on the recording. It should be slower as it was on Shepperd's Bush, absolutely amazing. If she hadn't been that drunk it'd have been the best concert ever.

I like Salaams slowed down version. It gives me chills. At first I never like it all then it grew on me and became one of my faves after heard the slower version, it's like gospel, enlightening and testimonial.

Apparently (I recall reading this somewhere), Salaam's slowed-down version was the original version, and it was suggested by some bright spark (not) at the record label that it should be changed because it 'sounded like death'.

Rubbish - it kicks the 'final' version's ass, and then some, imo.

Thanks for making feel not too old, haha, I remembered something!

I know Shepperd's Bush word by word... Can't believe how many times I've watched it. Most people wouldn't remember that with such detail. It was like a routine everynight. MaryJane&Shepperd's :P

i think she said it was the first song she wrote from b2b at shepherd's bush too.

"I didn't even know what it is about. And I still don't." Bless her.

You know those are some damn impressive lyrics as a first song about someone.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word

btw actually that youtube video is where i heard her say it was the first song about Blake specifically, it wasn't shepherd bush.

I love it when Amy talks to the audience. Wish she would do it more.

I like the grin she gets on her face when she looks at Zalon after calling Kanye a c*nt.

Glasto 2008 looks even better now after the V concerts.

"Some Unholy War" is one of my fave songs on B2B. To me, it's reminiscent of the Shangri-Las, and early Supremes. I'll excuse her imitation of Nina Simone, she does it well, here. I love the music, the tempo, it relates the struggles and burden of a relationship.
