hope no one posted this yet! i didn't see a thread but if someone has...so sorry!

it's a small clear-up on amy's fabulous punching frenzy @ glastonbury 2008. also, she's going to be immortalized!! in wax
pictures of her at the site

http://mrpaparazzi.c...ce-Charges.aspx

There’s been a number of different versions of this story doing the rounds ranging from a fan grabbed her boob, someone touched her beehive or she heard someone insulting Blake, but the BBC have got hold of some footage of the incident and the guy on the end of the punches and we guess it settles all the speculation once and for all…..

Somebody (not the guy she punched) threw a hat, it hit her beehive, she lashed out, case closed! In other Winehouse news we’ve just heard Amy’s going to be immortalised in wax at London’s Madame Tussauds. Apparently she was unable to attend measuring sessions so they were forced to take more than 500 precise measurements from pictures. The waxwork, which is bound to be popular, will be unveiled next month.

and the direct link to BBC's footage to the incident (if you don't want to go to mr paparazzi's website:

Yeah Amy is an icon now, I hope she'll be pleased about Madam Tussaud's. I'm glad she won't be charged. She has problems but the demonizing of her is unfair IMO.

Oh... didn't really think bout them charging her.
That guy she elbow-ed didn't seem bothered, he seemed to lap it up in all honesty from an article I read.
Also, Amy - in Madam Tussaud's? How high is the ceiling? Might need to extend it for her beehive :D but seriously though, that's proper cool

I hope they do a really good job. Sometimes these waxworks don't look much like the person.

aww awesome! I went there for my 16th this year and I was realy upset when she wasn't there :( lol
also.. one of my mates was one of the people stood behind the guy that got actually punched and she said that someone next to her threw a hat at amy's beehive and she turned and saw a guy laughing so she 'air elbowed' him lol but then someone behind my mate booed her really loud and so she started to punch him. She said she was fucking scary and had one hell of a punch on her! lol I'd believe this that the articles you're hearing...

Singer AMY WINEHOUSEPosted Image is unimpressed she has been immortalised in wax at London's Madame Tussauds Museum - reportedly branding the idea "crap".
The Back to Black hitmaker admits she was unavailable for a sitting for the waxwork, so the museum has crafted the statue from photographs.
But Winehouse was surprised to learn she would feature in the museum at all.
She tells British magazine New!, "I thought you had to be dead almost before they made a wax of you."

I was going to say something really messed up again, but ehh here's another comment instead:

I don't get why they didn't wait for her to do the sitting though, the result would probably be much better.

They do Live n kickin' people all the time.. Regis and Kelly were imortized in wax a couple of years ago. It think it's a tribute to someone who makes a mark on celebrity history. But I love Amy's quirky take on everything... she's so unique in every way.. she's just so AMY!!!!

I was thinking the same. In fact, I wrote my message but then I decided not to post it.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word

Hahaha! Yeah it was!

I was like "dead almost, almost dead.. what's the difference".

And then I had to punish myself for thinking that. So I ran into a cactus. :bruised:
