I think the Some Unholy War lyrics are amazing.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word

 i had one of those with Sting's 'An Englishman In New York' i thought it went 'oh oh i'm an alien, I'm an evil alien' instead of 'I'm a legal alien'. I kept on having this weird images of sting dressed up as a mad alien screaming in the streets of New York. It was scary..

I always thought it was I'm a little alien.

Bump!

Just read this comment about YKING and thought it was interesting. It makes sense and is clever.

"you tear me down like Radja Muir..."

'Radja Muir' was the name given to the monument erected by Emperor Shah Jahan for his first wife before it was realized that she would bear him no children. Jahan?s second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was much more successful for Jahan in this department, fathering 14 children for the man. Jahan ordered that Radja Muir be torn down in mid-development and that a new and much more marvelous construct be erected in its place as a gift to and final resting place for the mother of his children... The Crown ****el, more commonly known as the Taj Mahal.

Second comment from the top. Also, bwells1969 is either an idiot or knows something the rest of the world doesn't know.

I agree! Makes me wonder if Amy is actually even cleverer than I thought she was.

And, yes. That other guy is a donkey.

When I first heard Cherry I was sure Amy was singing "You stubborn asshole you" and sang it that way for an entire month before realizing it was "you're stubborn as a mule".

When Amy sang in Cherry 'your too thick and my patience is thin' I thought she was singing 'your too thick and my page is too thin'.
