I tuned in to Mark's show tonight and he mentioned that he was in the studio recently working on some of Amy's songs. Here's a loose transcription of what he said on the air:
"I've been in the studio this past week and there's a record that's going to be coming out later this year of some Amy Winehouse stuff. There are some songs that she finished and I'm sure would have wanted to have out. This isn't a sort of 'raid-the-bottom-of-the-barrel and exploit someone' because I definitely wouldn't have any part of it if it was. I can't play it yet. I can only tell you that it's one of my favorite things I've ever worked on."

Oh my God! I actually leapt out of my seat when I read this - thank you! I am so glad that Mark Ronson is working on her songs, I think he is the only person who could finish them ready for release! Oh wow - I wonder what the songs are like?

Am I clicking on the right thing? I clicked on "Listen" next to October 28 but just hear some woman talking about how high she is!?
Would love the original demo of Wake Up Alone to be released (not the acoustic one, the other one that he played on his show once before but talked all over it).
Hope that Amy would have approved whatever he does.
