Third day, third debate. I promised something less dramatic than my last two questions and I will keep this promise.

I leave you the link yesterday's debate. :P

Debate number three

In your opinion, which is the most real person that surrounded Amy?

A friend? Her father? Her husband? Who has always been there for her? Who didn't want just her money ? Who made everything for help her ? Try to pick just one, I know it's hard.

I'd probably have to say Mitch or Janis... Her parents always seemed to be there for her when she needed it...

If I had to choose.. I'd say Janis, other than her and maybe some of Amy's close family.. I think a lot of people used her, and I don't like the idea of a certain someone using her death for limelight..

I get your point. I can't really choose anyone either. If I HAD to pick one, I'd go for Janis too.

Edit:
A couple of minutes later I realized that Kelly Osbourne was always there for Ames too.. and she hasn't sold a story about Amy yet, has she?

Despite all his mistakes, despite his opinions sometimes strange for me face to certain situation and even if he's not my favorite, it would be a lie to say that Mitch has not always been there for her daughter. For me, Mitch is 50/50. He did a lot of things with which I'm totally disagree but I'm one of the people without a father and yet I wish I had the chance to have a father like him, because one thing is sure, he LOVE Amy.

I think unintentionally, he became a star thanks to Amy. I think like anyone he enjoys that status but not for the purpose of being a millionaire. Almost all his money goes to the foundation of his daughter and it proves what I just said. I think all the mistakes he made, were never in order to hurt Amy or earn money, even if sometimes it hurt Amy and he was making money. I don't love Mitch, but I don't hate him either. I think in summary, this is a man who has done his best with the tools he had.

Janis by cons ... I'd rather not get me started on the subject...

I would add that no one is perfect. It's possible for someone to be present for someone even if you make mistakes along the way. Kelly Osbourne has also helped a lot Amy.

Her parents had her best interests at heart, loved her and were always there for her. They may have not got everything right but they tried their best.
I love you in a place where there's no space or time...Forever you will be a true friend of mine:)

this is my feeling as well. Janis probably saw things from the outside looking in which gave her a different perspective. Mitch was involved in the business , which could have not been easy for him .
I hope she had someone in her home living with her that was honest , sure she needed that ...:pride:

I would say Mitch. Of course Janis also stood behind her and Amy loved her mother but the bond between Amy and Mitch was much bigger i would say. I'm not saying that she loved Mitch more than Janis, but as i said the connection between her and Mitch was stronger & bigger. Mitch & Janis did the best thing they could but as Mark Ronson said, if an addicted Person won't accept any help, there is nothing you can do.

Oh yeah, it's not easy to have someone in your family that's addicted to any substance at all, really. Wether it's alcohol or drugs, it splits up a family. I can relate to Mitch and Janis, even though I have never been a parent. I can't imagine what it is like, to feel that immense 'love' for a child. But I know that it that love is strong, and it will last, no matter what happens to the child. As some said before, I don't hate Mitch. I do respect him, and the choices he has made. Parents do make mistakes sometimes, but I think Mitch has used all the tools he could get his hands on, even though it simply wasn't enough to get Amy on the right track. It was her own decision to start and continue abuse certain substances after all. Maybe the book will change my thoughts about him, but I surely hope it does not. I really hope for a decent book that doesn't go into all the details that Amy would be ashamed of.
