If you're like me and never cared for the 'MEGA DRUMS' that Ronson added to this song, this person on Youtube did a great job of getting rid of them by over-dubbing Amy's original acoustic version onto the Lioness version.

But ...

I still wanted to hear a little less of the over-production and a lot more of Amy, so I narrowed the song down some more and brought her vocals out to the front some more.

It's up on Sendspace ...

Big props to Retro 66 Productions on Youtube.

Interesting take Uno, I like the stripped back instrumentation and it's great to hear Amy's voice come out a lot more, although I must confess I still prefer the acoustic versions. I'm not very keen on the Ronson version myself, I think the over-production totally drowns her voice, which is a real shame. To be honest, I'm not keen on most of the production on Lioness, you can clearly hear that Amy didn't have a say in it.

The download link for the song is the one in the blue box, The other link below that is to download some type of little download helper app that they have (which you don't need). Sounds like you may possibly have clicked on that second link instead.

Ronson did to songs on B2B & LHT what Phil Spector did to Let it be.

Both sound much better stripped back and naked.

^I totally agree Ronson has a tendency towards overproduction. When I listen to individual songs from Back to Black, I definitely prefer the more raw, stripped back / acoustic versions where her voice takes centre stage. As an album however I do think B2B works, and the wall of sound 60s production provides a great overall feel which is also what made it a commercial success. Not so many people would have heard of Amy if she'd released the same songs as an acoustic album (not saying that's a good or a bad thing). It does annoy me when critics say Amy would've been nothing without Ronson, when it was her who decided on the sound she wanted for B2B and taught Ronson about the 60s girl groups to show him what to do.  Of course he made it happen, but without her guidance he wouldn't have had a clue imo.

Lioness is a different story altogether. I still maintain she would never in a million years have been happy with the release and I rarely listen to it now.
