I don't think Amy's voice could pull this off, but it would be nice to hear her have a go...

I wish Amy had recorded more standards, but I think she considered that too blase...

Carmen McRae - I'm Glad There Is You

Real Real - Nina Simone

Wild Is the Wind - Nina Simone (the "standard" arrangement, nothing like Bowie's version on Station to Station, the only misfire on an otherwise perfect album)

Who Is He (And What Is He To You) - Bill Withers

Transformer - Gnarls Barkley (if anyone's heard the ultra slowed down, semi-acoustic version recorded at Abbey Road, you'll know what I mean!)

The Love I Saw In You Was Just a Mirage - Smokey and the Miracles

Amy had the gift of songwriting so I would rather have her write new songs since I'm all for moving music forward. I would have loved a jazz standards album but that wouldn't be a covers album, jazz standards are not cover songs. The one song I would have wanted her to cover would be Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You"

I didn't realise Lord Tanamo died recently (19th april) when I posted this.

I quite enjoyed Amy's ska covers, and I think she would've killed this one.

Bad Religion by Frank Ocean.

Frank is the best artist to write a song since Amy and this song would really resonate with Amy.

I'd love to have heard her sing Willie Nelson's 'Crazy', but I can't even imagine her listening to that kind of music, tbh!

'Let's Stay Together' by Al Green would have sounded good with Amy's voice too, I think.

Fiona Apple wrote a gorgeous song called 'I Know' which sounds lovely and delicate with Fiona's voice, but I think Amy could have done it justice in her own brassy way too.
