Hello fellow members! I came across these pictures online , and wondered if they were maybe from her journal? The handwriting certainly matches Amy's...And also trying to pin down what Amy period (Frank Era, BTB, Lioness) they were drafted... A few of them seem like the predecessor to her popular songs...

For example, did the one titled Over Seas (attached) become Some Unholy War? I must admit, as an American fan, when I initially listened to the song SUW, I thought it was about a woman sending her man into military battle..fitting during the Bush/Cheney administration ( here stateside) when I was first listening to Amy's music.

Also, the lyrics for Losing Matches, have some commonality with Love is a Losing Game/BTB by using Poker terms and other phrasing..

Thanks all!

I was under the impression that these were written after back to black and were going to be songs on her next album and she never got to record them. The reason I think that is because when I first saw those photos people were talking about them as if they were going to be songs on the album she was working on right before her death. I have no idea if there is any truth to that though. On another note, it's so weird how many pages of Amy's handwriting from journals and letters have been released to the public.. I wonder what person in her life would do that? The lyrics being released are understandable but the personal letters and what not is so strange to me.

Ahhh I got ya!

Unfortunately, I think Amy had many people around her who would sell her personal things to the highest bidder...

Remember also that just 3 weeks after her death a heap of notebooks/journals and letters were stolen from her house - by someone she knew.

That is so horrible...she truly had no privacy
