Salute from Spain, I'm new in the forum. I don't know if there's any thread about this floating around, in that case, apologize.

I would like to ask some questions:

- What was gonna be the name of the third album?

- What was gonna be the tracklist of it? Are these song leaked or they remain unleaked?

- Is that true Universal destroyed those demos?

- Are Like Smoke and Cherry Wine original Nas ft Amy songs or were remixed later?

Thx for your time ;)

Yes there is a tracklist! But we don't know if it will ever be released since it was mentioned that Joseph David CEO of Uni. Music David Joseph 'destroyed' her third LP. Now I don't know what destroyed means what it means then there's no hope. What an Idiot anyway. I'm hoping its out there somewhere and gets released one day unexpectedly. I was hoping this year on Amy's 10th anniversary.

Now Winehouse's third Album's tracklist is as follows, the title is yet to be known if ever revealed.

1. Do Me A Lemon

2. Gutter

3. A Lions Pride

4. You Always Hurt The Ones You Love

5. Care Instructions

6. Song For Dionne

7. Between The Cheats

8. Cremated

9. Misery Loves Company

10. Our Souls Ain't Sole

11. You Never Came Back For Me

12. Lioness In Limbo

13. Never Wanted You (To Be My Man)

14.Like Smoke (feat. Nas)

15. How Long Now

I heard that Love Is A Losing Game was meant to be called Gutter, I have to do some research again but I can remember reading that somewhere.

Who knows how much of the stuff she got to record, I am sure it was written down already.
I do hope that she did at least record some demos of it.

11. You Never Gave A Fuck For Me

The correct title is "You Never Came Back For Me".

There is no official track list because the album was never made. The track list above is just ideas. Gutter was the original title for love is a losing game, ‘song for Dionne’ was a something she was meant to do for dionne’s second album but obviously never did.

I amended the title for that track. Sorry my mistake.

Im sure this is a tracklist for some material Amy recorded. Can't we assume that it is material comprised from her third album since "Between the cheats" is included and that was an original demo from the third album. But these names didn't come from nowhere right? Possibly not in that order of songs but it's something. What can you add to that?

Various sources (i think even Salaam Remi) say that "Between the Cheats" was meant to be for the third album, yes that may be true for one point at the time she was working on songs. But i do think that she was writing new stuff all the time, so i can't imagine her still planning to put the song on her third album (let's imagine if she was about to put it out in 2010 or 2011). I think she dismissed some of the stuff she recorded after Back To Black.

Back in 2009/2010 there were even reports saying that she disapproved of the stuff she was writing on St. Lucia because it seemed to "Anti-Blake".

I do think Amy was writing all the time, writing down ideas and making notes - just as Mitchell wrote in his book. I think some ideas stayed and some were scrapped, for some reason i can't believe it when i read about "Between the cheats" being for that original third album.

I've been asking myself the same. There's this song called "Never wanted you (to be my man)" which i assume was the original title for Like Smoke. As we have all seen in the documentary, that song was recorded during the recording sessions of the Back To Black Album in 2005.

Do you guys think she considered re-recording the song for her third album? Or was that list just put together by someone else. Who knows? We might never know what she planned. According to Salaam the songs intended for her third album were all written down, he says they had about 14 songs which were written by her

EDIT: According to the director of the documentary Asif Kapeida, the demo recording for like smoke lasts about 20 minutes and contains improvisation by Amy. He used to listen to that while working on that documentary. Do you think there are also other verses recorded? I always felt like there were more Verses than just the chorus (from the final version). I'd really love to hear the full song without Nas parts (no disrespect to nas).

I'm not sure where i read it but someone on the forum here said that Amy used to do these things, not record whole songs but rather record ideas, choruses and some verses. So maybe there isn't much left for the song to be on its own, but i can't believe that she was just writing a chorus and that's it. I'm thinking too much again. I'd just love to hear some new music by her. I miss her voice and it saddens me that it has been silenced.

We know very well that Amy was always always busy 'recording'. Real busy. I don't think there was a week where she didn't sit on the kitchen floor writing, strumming away at the acoustic guitar. We can definitely assume that she wrote a handful of, or possibly more, demos during years the 2010 -2011. There's something else out there. I can feel it within my gut. An album of something. It will all make sense when it all happens. By then which we will know why it hadn't released until then. But something was done before Amy passed, she was almost almost almost ready to unveil that special something. That something will surface one day. I do know one thing that I'm absolutely sure about, there's a 14 or something track CD existing somewhere, somehow. We haven't heard the last of Amy.  I don't think Amy's demos were 'destroyed' in the way that we think they were. They exist in some database, clearly not accessible, but retrievable if need be.

Reading your comment brings a smile to my face, thank you for your optimism. I do think that Amy's talent was unmeasurable, and 2 albums are not enough. Of course Hidden Treasures was brilliant but it didn't show genuinely Amy's work in her last days, which is a pity because her voice was becoming stronger and purer. Listening to Nas rapping is wonderful, but a little far from Amy's essence and jazz spirit. A new version of "Will You Still Love Me..." was also unnecessary as the vocals are exactly the same as the original one.

We definitely deserve a REAL posthumous album (I am thinking of Janis Joplin's Pearl, which cointained songs that Janis recorded few days before her passing). I really hope more songs will be shared in the near future... I don't care if they are not professionally arranged or finished. Amy was too perfect for super advanced and digitally retouched albums.

May I ask you something? How do you know that there is a 14 track CD out there? Can you confirm that? Who is the owner of that CD?

At 5:02 one of the photographers asks Amy, how Jamaica was and if she got any work done. She replies, that she did get some work done and that it won't be long ("that people can hear anything soon")

Dionne talking about hearing Amy's new "LP" in April 2011:

https://www.digitals...use-lp-is-good/

Island Boss talking about 12 locked vault tracks, that she apparently didnt want to release:

https://www.nme.com/...use-147-1274633

There's also a video of Zalon and some member of Amy's Band talking about that they've been to the studio and recorded a song called "Stagger Lee" (which Amy later performed on her 2011 Brazil Tour). So there must be a studio version there out somewhere. Which also makes me believe that she might have recorded other songs aswell.

Do you guys know which video i'm talking about? I've seen it a few weeks ago but now i cannot find it.

By October/November 2010 she also spent some time in Barbados working on music with Salaam Remi:

https://i.dailymail....683_468x502.jpg

In these pictures you can she her either arriving or flying back to the UK with some guitar cases.

So she did quite a lof of work throughout 2010 i believe. :)

Also it would be cool if some of the mods could merge this topic with the "True Third Album" Post.

Sorry but yes it was finished, they are not ideas. Before Amy went downhill in 2011, the album was due in like 2 weeks. Salaam Remi explicitly mentioned that it was ready and had been finalised. It was then then postponed for release because Amy re-entered rehab in some time in June 2011 and they never spoke about the release after that because Amy wasn't doing to well.

Salaam said she had 14 songs, all she needed to do was record them. The third album was not recorded.
