Hello!

I think I've read it here but basically Amy was supposedly getting really inspired to make her 3rd album listening to different kind of music. I have seen some of the inspiration for her debut album and the 2nd album, the first one being more jazz/neo-soul/hip-hop, and the second one being 60's girl groups/Motown/jukebox. What about her 3rd album? Could she have been still inspired by 60's girl groups? Was it more similar vocal jazz music? Have there been mentions on the music she was listening to on her last months?

I think with Amy the ideas could change so many times. For the Back To Black album she recorded different takes and versions of the songs, so i can imagine her trying out different things for the next project too. In an 2010 interview she stated that her next album is going to sound like "Jukebox" music.

And yes, there was this article published by that studio owner, which Lucky Horse already mentioned.

I remember Amy saying she wanted to release a 1940's inspired EP, so she was probably listening to songs from that era at some point after the release of B2B.

She had a wide taste in music, so one can only guess what her third album would have sounded like.

I think she was planning an older 50's style album, hence she recorded "It's My Party", "If I Do" And "Be My Baby". they all sound like 50's girls groupy. that is my guess, also, i think it would've been a mix of Doo Wop, Pop, Jazz And Contemporary-ish songs.

I think it was incredibly pressure for Amy to release an album after BTB, how do you top those expectations? Actually an impossibility. She was probably listening to a lot of reggae at the time and that was supposedly rejected by the record company. But there are so many songs that weren't released that something could have been done with them.
I would have thought it would have been best if she could have escaped all the pressure, i.e. out of the music business. In the end she still had enough money (sell Camden Place and keep her apartment in Jeffreys Place) so she could have retired to get better in peace. And then she could have made music again - or not. But without the pressure of a new album, tours, etc.
