Since hearing Take The Box on the radio when it came out. I was intrigued and borrowed Frank from the library, and I loved it so much that I bought my own copy. I hardly buy CDs anymore so it's a big deal for me. It must have been in 2003 or early 2004. I remember thinking how disappointed I was by some so-called modern jazz/soul/blues singers but that Amy was different, the real thing!
And there was much less coverage of her then. Just before B2B came out, I googled her name and only found ONE news story - unfortunately it was the Daily Mail!

it wasn't love at first for me.. Which is weird because i happen to think she's the most beautiful woman i've ever seen. But physically, i thought she was really weird, with the hair and the tattoos and at first i thought she always sang like she didn't really wanted to be there. I get that now too, but i used to think it was always like that.. i don't know if that makes sense.. anyway, it wasn't love, no.. i was absolutely facinated but it took me a bit longer to fell for her. About... two weeks ha!

The first time that I saw a photo of Amy, which was in December of 2007, I thought, "Who is this Amy Whitehouse (sic), and how can this poor woman have a singing career?" She looked like an emaciated young woman from India with a lot of tattoos, a big beehive, and a missing tooth!
After getting her name straight, I read some positive reviews of _Back_to_Black_ that made the CD seem interesting enough to try. I bought her CD in January of 2008, and "got religion."

Since the begining of this year,,! I wish I had become a fan earlier,, I've missed out on soo much,,! But I think that I have kinda hit an age now,, where I appreciate the lyrics and listen to them properly.
I couldn't live withut her music now,,!
