America Is Amazing! But I Want Her To Stay Small. Obviously I Want Her to Sell As Many Records As She Can. But I Loved The More Smaller Gigs Where You Are Like 3 foot Away From Her Not A Whole Arena Away lol From What I Gather She Isnt No Posh Spice And She Doesnt Need To Set Trends. She Should Stay In London Because She Is A Proper London Girl And We Get To See Candid Photos Of Her In The Local Supermarkets Buying And Dropping Milkshake On The Floor! lol :)

LOL!! Too funny, and, yes I can't quite see Amy living over here; she is such a London girl. Thank God she ain't no Posh Spice - she's the anti-Posh, and we love her for it!

Whoa Lainey, Posh Spice?...compared to some celebrities we got here, guess she's more respectable, not doing jail time, rehab and all. But she still seems a bit over the top to me, if you know what i mean. And yes, Amy is a London girl and will always be one wherever she goes. Like she said in the Lollapalooza interview, "there's no place like home." Our little Dorothy from Oz...

True, Kev, there is a lack of trashy behavior on Posh's part. However, she is a tad robotic for me and those fake boobies! - I reckon they're bulletproof.

It is what I believe and I think, the ideolgy that most americans follow, the whole "if it feels good, go for it" is enough for ME to base my opinion on Americans.

So, you've met most Americans I take it, then? Unless you have, it's incredibly ignorant to comment on an ideology that you don't know about. Yes, you must have met the incredible majority of low and middle class people living pay check to paycheck just to get by - yes, those people absolutely just are frivolous and do things because it feels good. Those poor people displaced by Katrina, yup, they're just doing whatever they want because, well, they're American and it feels good. Gimme a fucking break. You see the crazy celebrities doing what they please, or the movies and tv shows - that does not reflect the population as a whole. The US is a big country, and there are people with a lot more substance than you are giving them.

Seriously, I am incredibly disappointed at some of the stuff I've read in this thread. No one in here is stupid, but some of the views you have of places in the world are absolutely off base and ignorant. Sorry, but I am very frustrated at some of the opinions in here. Yes, you are allowed to have an opinion, but I am also allowed to argue it.

Curehead, until you've personally and actually met "most Americans", it'd be best for you to not lump them all into the negative opinion you've gotten from the ones you HAVE met.

That's just like hating all blacks because you had a bad experience with one.

Hell, I disagree with some American politics, but there's a difference between discussing the government in power, where things are made public and it's easy to come to a strong opinion, and discussing the American people as a whole and insulting them.

Sorry again for bringing this shit up when it was laid to rest for a few posts, but if there's one thing I can't stand, it's generalized comments that are trying to generate hate.

Just my two cents. I have never been to the US but I think the image of Americans in the public consciousness is a bit distorted. The ones that I know are totally cool people. Then again if I would have to judge the British by what I see here when they arrive in hordes on the weekends, I would get a totally distorted picture too. Thankfully, I have been to London several times so I know not every British is like the average John on a stag party. Forget the stereotypes, George Bush does not represent nowhere near 10% of the country.
