I think she has a great shot at wining something and i hope she does but i think some of the others nominated shouldnt have been like kanye come on that song just came out and thats all he has done this year. nothing personal, and i don't mean to offend, but why does the american music buying public feel they have to settle for beyonce and timberlake in the first place? i know they have talent, they sell records, but seem more like entertainers rather than interesting or deeply important artists. now, Amy on the other hand, has it all. B2B rules and rocks and is deserving of all the success it has recieved for it being fresh and important art, it feels and sounds real and inspired....not airbrushed and packaged, if you know what i mean. plus, us folks in our 50's are starved for good ole soul and R&B. and, for lyrics that are prose! i'll get off my high horse now. thanks for letting me pontificate. I dont think its just the American public, its just the marketing and the amounts of money put into it. What I still dont understand is why do people still go to pay their pounds and dollars to see "artists" like Beyonce, who is lip-synching 70% out of her "live" performance times???
