I guess now I know why I have been feeling anxious and emotional and downright giddy and unfocused. As you can read I am rambling, not my nature at least thus far. My B-Day is the 20th of Sept.

I think horoscopes are absolute toddle! How can you categorize all the billions of people in this world into just 12 groups?? I don't understand how some people can believe in this kind of thing. I don't mean to be offensive in anyway - I know nobody who believes in horoscopes. If anyone here does please let me know why you believe in them because I'd like to get the opinions of someone who believes in them. How many times can I say 'believe' in one post...

You know, astrology doesn't justcategorize billions of people into 12 groups ( well maybe popular astrology - what you can find in newspapers). Your sign - as you know there are 12 of them - is just the place where the Sun was at the time of your birth. But there is also a whole bunch of other very important planets, and your personality and possibilities depend on those too.

I think the whole story about astrology is completely misused. It is not about someone telling you your future ( what astrologers usually do, trying to earn money) - it's all about revealing your potentials and also the weak sides. If used for those purposes, it could be a real fun. So, it is not the question of 'belief', but of how you can use the knowledge that you get from astrology.

Wino, please don't get me wrong. I totally understand your scepticism, since I had also felt that way before I got to know more about astrology.

Cheers Ray. I have nothing against astrology at all. I just always see horoscopes in the backs of magazines and newspapers and just think, 'how can people read these and believe it???'. That's all I was referring to.

I study psychology and at a certain point astrology came up (during Personality Psychology I think). Now I don't mean to spoil the fun, but empirical science basically killed astrology. There wasn't a single thing that turned out to be true about it. So yeah, reading a horoscope can be fun, as long as you don't start believing it and taking it into account when making decisions and such..

I'm so glad the 70's are over. you couldn't get through a conversation with someone back then without them asking you what your sign of the zodiac was lol

Agree.
I can't believe it, just like I can't believe in God. If other people do, that's completely fine with me though.

Last week we were in a church and my dad wanted to light a candle. I thought it was stupid because we aren't religious and are not supposed to do it, but then I thought "well why not, you never know..." so I lit a candle for Amy. But then a number of days later I hear that more misery has been happening to Amy.

Btw Amy was a little bit interested in tarot - she sad that her Nan Cynthia used to know how to read them. Amy played with this kind of cards in St Lucia - based on what Daphne Barak wrote in her book... There's a photo in the book with Amy in orange minidress with the set of cards.

I just don't believe in that kind of stuff. I think they write something everyone can relate to in their own ways.
