I feel as though I would like to know more about the old Amy to figure out why she is like she is today. I am finding it depressing to read about her as she is now.

I found this really interesting interview from 2004, in the Wikipedia site, she had just released her Frank album. I never knew that the track "What is it about men", was about her dad. Could issues with her Dads infidelities in the past be affecting her today?

If they affected her enough, they absolutely could still be something that continues to hurt her. Whether repressed or not, the pain from it is still there, I'm sure.

Sometimes it's harder for a child to get over a parents infedelity than it is for a spouse to get over being cheated on.

Interesting, thanks for posting. It seems like she's just another person now sometimes.

I miss those days - but she can't turn back the clock. What I'd like to see next is a calmer, wiser Amy. "...is wearing salmon pink slip-ons so dirty and worn that her toes poke out" Sounds a bit like the ones she wore the other day...;)

Thanks.. interesting. Yeah I think her father's infidelety could defiently have affected her. Interesting that in this article she calls herself a 'girly girl' and in other articles she calles herself a tomboy, a boy, and not a girly girl hah

well in her mother's interview, she said that her father was just trying to make up for what he didnt do when she was a child. He wasnt there and Im sure that hurt her a lot. But, you can tell Amy loves her father, a lot but I also think he allows a lot of things to slip through the cracks just to save face. He's mainly been the one in papers saying "Amy's ok. She doesn't need rehab. She'll be fine." while other family and friends were more concerned.

She does seem like a different person, she was a lot more sure of herself then.
