Amy said herself she wasn't really religious, but I think it was clear that she was proud of her Jewish heritage, wearing the star of David necklace, referring to her jewish background regularly and especially the family aspect. She said herself: “I would like to uphold certain things, but not the religious side of things, just the nice family things to do. At the end of the day, I’m a Jewish girl.”

It surprised me that Amy was cremated, as this is against Jewish tradition, although the other aspects of her funeral service were Jewish. I assume she wanted to be cremated like her grandmother. It is getting more common amongst progressive Jews (as the Winehouse family are) to opt for cremation rather than burial, so I guess it isn't that strange anymore...

I think Amy is the most beautiful Jewish woman I have ever seen!

Amy is indeed gorgeous.

During the 80s and 90s, I was fortunate to make numerous trips to Israel. I can report that the "beauty bench" is VERY deep there; the fleet of young beauties is enormous.

My associates and I were always especially eager to be chatted-up by security at the airport. Nowhere have I ever seen such beautiful women in uniform. They all looked like movie stars.

At the night spots and beaches, too, the number of strikingly beautiful women was massive.

Wherever her appearance was inherited from, Amy was indeed blessed not only to be physically beautiful, but to also be a splendidly sweet human.
