Amy Winehouse quizzed by police in connection with husband's criminal investigation

Amy Winehouse has been arrested over an alleged £200,000 plot to fix her husband's assault trial.

The singer arrived at Shoreditch police station in east London to be formally interviewed, fingerprinted and DNA tested.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the Mail: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointed at an East London police station. "She is currently in custody. The arrest was in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice."

It is understood that she was asked about accusations she knew of a plan to derail the case against Blake Fielder-Civil. Fielder-Civil, is on remand at North London's Pentonville prision on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The troubled signer was distraught at his arrest in November and had displayed increasingly irratic behaviour.

Amy Winehouse was arrested in London today (December 18).

The singer is currently being held at Shoreditch Police Station in Hackney in connection with the bribery plot for which her husband is currently in prison.

Blake Fielder-Civil has been in prison since last month after being arrested for trying to pay James King to withdraw a statement he made to police. King is a victim in an alleged assault case against Fielder-Civil.

Police in London confirmed that a 24 year-old woman was arrested by appointment and that the arrest was “in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice”.
