Janet Jackson has revealed she has mixed feelings about Amy Winehouse's multiple Grammy wins, echoing Natalie Cloe's criticism of the awards.
"I hear where Natalie is coming from and I think she would understand it better than I could because she's been there," she said on E!
"She's been addicted to drugs and had those issues. I could see her side of it for sure, and it's kind of a Catch-22 for myself because it does feel like someone is being rewarded for a negative act, and you know drug addiction and all that is real close to my heart because I've been in relationships where that's been really heavy."
Janet, whose new album Discipline is released on Monday February 25, continued: "I'm not saying it's right, but the music business has always been about sex, drugs and rock and roll."
Despite having a career spanning three decades, the 41-year-old admitted she appreciates feedback her producer boyfriend Jermaine Dupri offers.
