I don't recall Janet ever claiming to be a saint. Her music has been sexual since the janet. album in 93. And while you're posting videos, she puts on a hell of a tour. Again I agree with her statement but dragging her through the mud is ridiculous. Stans are ridiculous just to cap it off.

Yeah I know her music has always had a sexual content. I personally don't think it matters what a musician/artist talks about...I just don't like it when they say silly things like this. I don't even hate Janet...just using videos like that as an example because real critics of her can use it to say that Janet doesn't deserve a certain "award" because of videos like that.

Sounds silly doesn't it? That's the point I was trying to make

Even though I wasn't following Amy around that time....it is plainfully OBVIOUS she deserved those awards. When your able to combine SALES AND CRITICAL ACCLAIM at the SAME TIME then you deserve a lot of recognition.

Natalie Cole's point was an idiotic one, but a point nonetheless. She embarrassed herself in the community and would have done better to have kept her yap shut. I didn't see her giving back the Grammys she won when she was a practicing addict.....the hypocrisy of her statements made her appear foolish and full of envy.

its one thing saying a person has made an idiotic statement (natalie cole) and another talking about a person's nose & "paedophile" brother (janet) because they partly agreed with said idiotic statement.

*shrug*

i do agree that amy deserved all the awards she got, shit she deserved all the awards she didn't get as well because like its been said they were for her talent as a musician.

Natilie cole didn't have any point, especially as she was on heroin for 5 years herself, PKB, Amy was being rewarded and rightly so, for her amazing work as a musician, artist, performer, singer songwriter, not dancer, never dancer ;) lol. She wasn't getting an award for meeting a scumbag and making bad choices, silly cow, same goes for ian brown and francis rossi, her talent is what should havebeen focused on, not her mistakes, even more so, as those two had drug problems also, and it is rife and always has been in the industary, they need to keep their mouths shut and not try get a little attention by dissing Amy, arseholes.

I don't recall Brown having drug problems. He might be bitter because drugs among other things played their part in the Roses disbandment... But he was always pretty much anti-drugs, as well as outspoken, so there you have it. His comments weren't mean spirited, he's just an arrogant dick, but an insanely charismatic and talented one.

He still stands in spite of what his Mars bar says.

Hmm, I didn't know Janet said this and I find it a bit silly that she would comment on anyone's drug habits or personal flaws considering where she came from. Maybe, she's mad that Amy won awards based off her talents and not the talent of others. *shrugs* Maybe it's the fact that Amy won 5 Grammys in one night which is Janet Jackson's career total wins ... or that the Grammy committee didn't allow her to perform on the show twice, lol.

3 years ago or not, but did you really call Janet D-list. Her musical accomplishments shit on most people. Her last few albums aren't faring so but from 1986-2002, she was on her shit. Damita Jo was a solid album for that matter but the Super Bowl thing happened.

Janet Jackson is a D-List celebrity, though. Her last hit was over 10 years ago and she hasn't been relevant in the Pop world since. Tbqh, she's a has-been.

No ones hot streak lasts forever. At some point, you accomplished enough. Its up to you to leave it be or tarnish it. She's 45. Not to say she's done and used goods but she's had a successful career. "The talent of others" She never rode Micheal's coat tails.

Her tour has been doing very well all year. Its not a massive arena tour but its a step in the right direction.

Regarding the Grammy comment. Beyonce has 16. That in itself should say something. Taylor Swift won album of the year. There are actual legends who have very few -none. As much as we hail the Grammy's, they bring themselves down every year and its not the fairest or most consistent committee
