Apologies to George Roberts-Bascombe for incorrectly suggesting ('Amy enjoys sun with ex as Blake sits behind bars', January 6) that Amy Winehouse had been on holiday to the Caribbean with her ex-boyfriend George.

I now accept that Mr Roberts-Bascombe was not with Miss Winehouse but was, in fact, on holiday with his girlfriend.

Humblest apologies for any distress or embarrassment caused. The newspaper has agreed to pay damages and costs.
