Hmm. I've never heard the Dinah Washington version of cry me a river I have the Ella Fitzgerald version. Why did singers sing some of the same songs back in the day. I have 3 versions of stormy weather Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday. Sorry thats off the topic but I have always wondered about that. Its the same with the girl groups The Ronnettes and The Crystals singing some of the same songs. You do not find that too much these days.

Another song that I'd like her to cover is I put a spell on you. I absolutely love this song and for me it'd be really interesting to hear her version of this song.

Really? I am thinking she could even handle Roberta Flack, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, I think she could really blow me away because she (her voice) has the depth and distance.

That Dinah Washington version is nice I don't feel it like Ella though.I'm just biased cuz I have been listening to Ella for sooo long.

'blue sky blues' by ryan adams - may favourite song of all time (her and ryan have a shared passion for shangri-las too! compare the beginnings of 'give him a great big kiss' and 'beautiful sorta')

Well one of my fave songs is "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman.I'm obsessed with it.
That song's gorgeous & all my friends hate me playing it cause it's so old.
But I think Amy would definately suit it. She's maybe the only artist that I could have covering MY song
