don't forget, the rule for platinum is diff in UK. a platinum album there is one that's sold 300,000 where here it has to sell 1,000,000 to be declared platinum status. but yeah, she's on her way to 3 mill here....
I just emailed Billboard asking them what's up with Amy not being on their list of RIAA Platinum Certification section. See what they say...

I agree with Lainey and Kev. Perez said he was a friend of Amy's and behaved otherwise, basically for his own profit, when she could have used a friend. That disgusted me. I'm thinking maybe it was Universal PR more than Amy behind this gift. I'm jealous though, what an amazing gift.

I dont think they replied. Did they??? Actually, the record company has to pay to RIAA a certain amount of money (I dont know how much) to have a record certified. Therefore, there are lots of records that have went gold, platinum and diamond that have never received any OFFICIAL certification. I think Billboard figures is still the best bet to see actual sales.
