Well, so it's hours until I'm seing Wino doing her thing here in Madrid. I'm slightly nervous. I'm watching the artist I've looked up the most in my life live for the very first time but I'm not even expecting anything good.
At first I wasn't really going to go as I feared being too dissapointed as it's clear she's not on top form neither phisically, mentally and/or vocally (which for me it's VERY important considering I'm really picky with all that)...but I've paid quite a lot for the tickets so there I go! I wont be very close to the stage I guess as there are many other acts that I can't be arsed to see (Shakira, James Morrison and Jamiroquai -I like them! I sang two of their songs on a gig I did yesterday!) so I just hope she does it well enough. I'm afraid the crowd is going to be a bit of a bully as she's "the funny druggie" instead of the amazingly talented artist for them (can you picture someone understanding Amy's and Shakira's music??).
I'll try and spill the beans tomorrow, but you might be able to catch the show on spanish television youself (it's Tve1 or Tve2, I dunno!) there must be somewhere to see it online I'm sure!) The concerts will start at around 19.00h spanish time (18h U.K time).
Wish me (and her) luck. :ok:

I'll elaborate tomorrow but I can already say that I feel terribly relieved!!! She looked seriously amazing. She didn't look all THAT super thin and unhealthy. Quite the contrary I found her in perfect shape in her yellow fab dress.
She did sound a lot better than she did in Glastonbury and Mandela's concert... at least from the crowd! The crowd was really really receptive altough it pissed me off that the crowd seemed to cheer a lot more whenever she took a sip from her cup than when she sang but well...shit happens! and we all know what people like and what people expect from her.
I just can say that I feel relieved, seriously. Nothing terrible or out of order, she sounded good, looked even better and I love her like I've loved her since the very first day.

I read that she slipped off her heel and changed into moccasins... update....just saw video on youtube...from the looks of it, she seemed on her game. So happy to hear that you thought so as well. You lucky guy!!!! Maybe her record label's putting her under house arrest overnight paid off, huh? Tell us more tomorrow.
