You should be a philosopher, you so smart! Bravo, brando!

So much energy is put into a stranger that they'll probably never see in life, takes away the fan experience. It's sad sometimes, I feel sorry for them.

brando, you are wise beyond your years...maybe my years too!

I was clicking through all my Amy pics today and spending more than a moment looking at each one. I loved all of them, even when she was in bad shape or crying or scared. Her beauty lies in her complexity. I could totally love Amy--I do love Amy. I don't want the edited version.

exactly.. you couldn't make her better than she already is and i guess her demons, like it or not, are part of what she is.. I believe strongly in fate and i think everything happens for a reason. All this is happening for a reason, one day it will make her stronger than she ever imagined she could be. You can and should only learn from your mistakes and i have faith that all this will make her stronger and she'll be able to get all the happiness she truly deserves for being such a beautiful person.
omg.. i'm fucking crying while i write this.. i'm such an idiot
oh and believe me Phil i'm not that wise.. at least definitely not as much you. I can see that and i don't even know you!

That's what I'm concerned about, Brando. Is this or is this not true? I've often have looked upon Winehouse's PR/management with stinkeye. I don't trust them, they've lied to the fans too many times, too much science fiction. However, the press is highly speculative, due to Winehouse's 'self-imposed' exile.

I'm just waiting and seeing.

How can they look at this beautiful kindhearted woman and watch her self destruct and not give a shit?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It resembles the (abusive) treatment that the mentally disabled or elderly often receive... and these people have the gall to accept a paycheck for their (dis) services????!!!! Amy considers these people her "FRIENDS" and puts her trust and care in their hands because she is too ill to take it upon herself. I am not only hurt on her behalf, but growing more and more angry each time I see her deteriorating condition. In my eyes they are beginning to work off of the same moral compass as the paparazzi. And it is disgusting.

Ironic, and depressingly sad, that somebody who is such a free spirit is so caged.

before i came onto this forum i visited the "asylum" for a few days, and i did find it really strange how they turned everything into something good when it was so obvioulsy not, then when i came to this forum the 1st few posts i read i remembr there was a thread 'im starting to like amy less' and at a first impression i was like omg are these people fans, and i think i commented too soon, before i actually read around, sort of like judged a book by its cover (or from the first few things i read) and i think it was the extreme change between the asylum having there rose tinted glasses on non stop and this forum saying exactly how it is, and i realised everyone here does love amy but they arent going to be bullshitted to, and why would we want to put a pretty edge on all these things, that are blatently not a pretty sight. it just leads to more dissapoinment, more let downs, more anger and more tears
if you dont love the person for exactly what they are you cant be a real fan
those at the asylum are not real fans, because they have to cover all of this up and then love amy for what they are making her. someone who is probly completly clean of drugs, working hard in rehab, with a perfect performing voice and perfect appearence that hasnt been effected by drug use
when we all know, she MIGHT not be off drugs, we are not sure if she is in rehab, her performing voice of late has not been up to the standard it could be, and the drugs have taken their toal.
and this is the amy i love, because i know she has the strength to get stronger and overcome all of this, then we will truely have something to celebrate
where as the others, wont have that same celebration, because "its always been fine"

UPDATE: when i gave her the mosaquie blake was there!!!!!!!! and he tried pullin off the things to see if drugs where stashed in there!!!!!!! i think it was too keep amy off them (this was sposed to go in the dream section ahhahaa)

I'm glad that you didn't let the first impression scare you away and that you get us now.
It is a shame that it happens to be the official one there, because most of the real fans are somewhere else (here) and those people there are not sending out the message of how a real Amy fan is.
I have never had a good look at the Asylum, and judging from what I've heard about it, I should never go and spend a lot of time on there because it would annoy me endlessly.

PS: No offence to those who come from there. You made it here, so it's all good.

(Elena: the Asylum is the official forum)
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word
