Not really. Its kind of like a mini-blog. You post very short mesasages, updates, or any little tidbits you want for friends to follow. No profiles, no personal information, except your cell phone IF you want it out.

I might have to try Twitter. I tried doing MySpace a few years ago, but it's just overrun by 12-14 year olds now so I don't use it. I was going to try Facebook, but for some reason, I never got around to doing it. This sounds like it's less work, so that appeals to me. I'm so lazy. lol

I disagree about MySpace being overrun with 12-14 year olds (well, I'm sure it is!), but I have an account, and I only have my favourite bands/ singers as 'friends'. With certain artists, they post info (tours, new releases, etc.) on MySpace before they post anywhere else. I don't have the time to monitor individual websites, and I would not have known about one of my fave bands (Mogwai) doing a North American tour without Myspace. I was able to get tix in advance, before they sold out.

MySpace is still a good place for musicians.

totally agree with you Lainey. you can set it to private and be picky about who you want to let in too.
i dropped Facebook 'cause there were several hate groups that i spotted, one was a vicious one against Amy. I emailed the admin and never heard back so to hell with 'em.

now what's this twitter? i'm really trying to keep up but it seems evertime you turn around there's something new!

^ I don't like Facebook. I closed my account. It's too weird. I dunno - it's just.......

Twitter is kind of fun - check it out! I follow Lily Allen and Stephen Fry, among others. Stephen Fry is bonkers - love him! It's hard to explain Twitter....

BEWARE MySpace/Facebook Users!!

MySpace has had so many phishers lately, where people's accounts are permanently hacked and ruined to ther point where the real owneer can't even delete their own account!!

Facebook has that personal information binding contract where they have the right to your information for as long as they please!!!
