I can't wait to see/hear her performance tonight... might give us an idea of what to expect at London.

Alright, so - An Oasis cover? Good song, mind you.

Anyway, apparently it's going ahead, outdoors as planned? This was 'published' on 9th of May, so I'm assuming when they say early today they mean, well, tonight.

AMY WINEHOUSE was due to stage her first live show for eight months early today at the St Lucia Jazz Festival.

And in a nod to how she is now over her difficult times, the recovering junkie was to cover OASIS hit Don’t Look Back In Anger.

The show almost didn’t happen after the Caribbean island was hit with torrential rain.
Organisers were forced to cancel Thursday’s line-up and were desperately trying to find an indoor venue for Amy. But thankfully, by yesterday, the skies had cleared.
Meanwhile, Amy has government permission to live on the island.

Tourism Minister Allen Chastanet has invited her to become a resident. He said: “Once she lives within the laws and stays decent, everyone’s going to be very supportive of her.”

yes, i would love to hear Amy cover this one!!

here's one from the BBC (to balance out The Sun)

y Winehouse's big comeback show in the Caribbean will go ahead despite torrential rain, organisers have said.

The 25-year-old star is widely expected to preview new material at the concert, which is part of the annual jazz festival in St Lucia.

Several shows this week, including a headline appearance by The Wailers, had to be pulled after continuous downpours made the festival site unsafe.

Ticketholders for those gigs will now be allowed to watch the Winehouse show.

The star has been living in St Lucia for several months as she works on the follow-up to her multi-award-winning Back To Black album.

St Lucia's minister for tourism, Allan Chastanet, said she had been a huge hit with the locals.

"I think she has been very happy with the reception and hospitality that she has received in St Lucia," he told BBC 6 Music News reporter, Jo Youle.

"Even, given her past, people have not judged Amy here.

"I think people have judged Amy for what she has been here and she's been phenomenal. She's been reaching out to the kids, the communities. She's not a snob in any way."

He revealed the residents of the island had had reservations to start with because of the singer's troubled past.

"This is a destination of second chances," said Chastanet. "The gift that she was giving us was simply smiling, and when she was gaining weight and people saw that she was physically getting better."

The singer released a statement ahead of the festival, saying it was an "honour" to take part.

"Since I first came to the island, I have been greeted with nothing but kindness and friendship, as well as incredible music and the most beautiful of settings."

OK, I'm confused. Is the concert at 8pm or 11pm St. Lucia time? Zalon said 11pm St. Lucia time...
