Just Amy
Hand in hand with a child,
Bright eyes, sweet smile,
Bare feet on the sandy mile;
As her hair curls naturally,
She also sins naturally;
Behaving erratically, awhile
Her eccentricity beguiles;
And she gives us a spin
’Round her delicate frame,
Drawing us in
Like a moth to a flame;
Invading our thoughts
As if there she belongs,
Till we willingly surrender
To her army of songs;
This exotic flower’s
Beauty overpowers,
And yet she’s still
Just Amy.

Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.
