Mitch is living in la la land :$

Yep. I don't think he's a bad person or anything. I think he just got a little too excited about all the media attention and isn't always making the right decisions because of it.

I agree with a lot of these very insightful comments. I think Mitch is basically a good guy but he's got that annoying showbiz personality. It's like he can't help himself. I'm not saying he's not responsible for his behavior, it's just I honestly don't think he even realizes he's doing anything wrong.

I concur, ladies. Mitch always had showbiz aspirations, which got sidetracked by the wife and kids. It reminds me of that play/movie,"Gypsy", about a legendary stripper named Gypsy Rose Lee. She had to deal with a mother with showbiz dreams who plopped all that onto her children, including Gypsy, who actually resented her mother.
In this life, we each create our own heaven and hell. (Conversation overhead on the bus)

i love Mitch. he may not always do what we perceive to be the right thing to do but i can't help but feel in my heart that he has agonized and suffered more than any parent should over a child(it's an expression). and it's all come from a genuine place of his unconditional love for his daughter. i can't help but extend my unconditional love to both Mitch and Janis. i'm humbled by their humanity.

i can't fault anyone for pursuing a dream, and without his love of music, and if he'd been a better person when he was a young dad, amy might have become a happy well-adjusted waitress. i would love to see them do a duet together! the most beautiful bonnie raitt performance i ever saw (on tv) was her doing a duet with her dad john - hey there (you with the stars in your eyes). sadly, it's gone from youtube.

^ Yeah, like Alan said, Mitch should record a duet with Amy for it, as they've sung together since her childhood, and it should sound great, as the voices within one family tend to blend together very well.
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

I had a childhood flashback.... she was pretty fab.
