I think backing her God child is just perfect for her image at present. Shows she still has "it" while showing her nurturing, caring side. I love that about her nearly most of all. How she cares about others. If she can pull it off, it'll be splendid!

If it's done well, I think it will actually help her image and I would be happy to hear it. It's a special event, not a backward move in status. She's never been a limelight hog, to her credit.

singing with Dionne is a great move imo.

I hope it will be on youtube short after.

As for right and wrong, she can do whatever she want with her music and herself. Doing backing vocals or weddings doesn't make her music less interesting :)

Amy Winehouse is set to make her TV comeback on Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC confirmed the Grammy-winner would sing backing vocals for her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield in a live performance on the show on Saturday.
Amy was quoted in the Radio Times as saying of Dionne, who is signed to the Rehab singer's own label, Lioness Records: "She's so much better than I was at her age, I'm so proud - she's my number one."
Dionne will perform her single Mama Said, taken from the forthcoming album Introducing Dionne Bromfield.
She said in a statement: "Amy and I both love Strictly Come Dancing. I watch it every single Saturday, so it was brilliant to find out I'll be on TV for the first time singing on one of my favourite shows."
Mark Linsey, controller of entertainment commissioning, added: "We are delighted to showcase the television debut of Dionne Bromfield on Strictly Come Dancing.
"Dionne is an exceptional new talent and it will be an extra special event for our viewers to see her perform alongside Amy Winehouse, an artist we have been looking to book on the show for some time."

I'm getting very excited about this now it's getting confirmed from all sides and by trustworthy sources.
Strictly Come Dancing is a BBC show of very high quality, so, good for Dionne and Amy, definitely!:)
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

Just a thought people, please don't get upset when they cncentrate o the dancers and not the singers during the performance. It is a dancing show and there are always dancers during the guest appearances

I'm pretty sure I won't be home yet when SCD is on but I hope it's going to be online later on (not just on BBC iPlayer, please)
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word
