Amy Winehouse undergoing drug tests to help relaunch career

Singer Amy Winehouse is undergoing weekly drugs tests to help relaunch her career in America.

The 26-year-old - said to have had a boob job before her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing last night - has vowed to kick drugs for good.

She has been attending a top London clinic for eight weeks and has provided samples to prove she is "clean".

The Back To Black star, who has not released a record since 2006, looked healthier and happier than she has for months as she left the clinic on her way to the TV show yesterday.

A close pal said: "She knows there's a lot at stake and she's not about to mess it up now.

"She's desperate to start earning money again and has a lot of top deals in the pipeline that she'd be a fool to throw away."

We all think she's big now, but I have a feeling after this album she'll be even bigger. It's the build up to it.

2003-2006 see her volumptuous, with a cheeky wink in her eye, amazing voice, looks like she'll be the next big thing

2006-2008 see her at her skinniest, and quite frankly sometimes scariest, missing shows (this is more towards the latter part of 2007/2008)... fantastic, mainstream songs and a kick-ass album, 5times grammy award winning but sometimes her personal life overshadows the professional life

2008-onwards see her beating the drugs, getting her life back on track and releasing another fantastic album...

you know what I mean? I want to say like some kind of lifetime achievement award but that sounds a bit much... but to go from just about to break out, to breaking out but crashing down at the same time, to then hit the big time again... :-) I think she deserves all the acclaim she can get, and if she can re-break America, fair play to the girl
