Amy Winehouse stunned her father with her new-found appetite when they went for lunch at a trendy London restaurant.
Proud Mitch Winehouse was impressed by his daughter's new healthy figure and her strength in kicking her drug addiction.
He said: "I went to lunch with her yesterday and I've never seen one person eat as much as she did.
"It was this new fish restaurant she goes to on Marylebone High Street, it's all healthy stuff - but boy can she put it away.
"And they say she's anorexic? You can see with your own eyes that she's put on a lot of weight and how well she's doing."
The Rehab singer made headlines this week after missing her cue to present a gong at the Q Awards, leaving her father fuming at more negative press coverage.
He said: "She was the one who decided she had had enough and that she needed help and treatment.
"She's been clean for a year and she's doing great and she looks fantastic but they're (the press) just waiting for the next car crash."
Now it is time for former cabbie Mitch Winehouse to enter the world of showbusiness. His new programme Showbiz Rant will air on Liv, the UK's first online TV channel, at www.livingtv.co.uk, from Monday November 2.
Mitch says it is a twist on the classic talk show model with guests sat in the back of his cab. His first celebrity passenger is Baywatch star David Hasselhoff.
