AMY WINEHOUSE being described as "sober as a lamb" is not something I thought I'd hear.

But that is how a guest spoke of the troubled star at her dad's birthday bash.

After singing Happy Birthday and a few of her hits for ex cabbie MITCH at Trent Park Golf Club in north London, Wino thanked her old man for his support.

Her 13-year-old goddaughter DIONNE BROMFIELD also performed her single Mama Said.

Rather than hurling abuse and shouting at guests, Amy made small talk and signed autographs.

A source at last Friday's do said: "She was on top form. A few people wondered whether she'd behave. She didn't turn up steaming drunk and held her own all night."

I was very impressed - until I found out the party was being filmed for a documentary about Mitch to be shown on Channel 4 next year.

That's the real reason Amy avoided slugging wine like it was water.

A documentary about Mitch now too, eh?
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Do they have to become so cynical again in the last bit? Says more about "them" than about Amy (like it usually does), who survived a PARTY without ANY trouble. OK, for her dad, 'cause she would, but it's still impressively positive.
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

I would actually expected a more messed up Amy when it is being filmed. Nerves or 'having to do it right' never seem to have a positive effect on her.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Hmm. They just showed a clip of it on TMZ's tv show with her and Dionne singing "Foolish Little Girl." She was dancing around. It was cute.

Mitch in the spotlight? I don't like that ... haha
Who cares if Amy just behaved because of the party being filmed. There were times where she wouldn't have been able to handle staying sober even if she wanted to. It's a big step in the right direction. It makes me happy to see how much progress she makes lately.
There were days where I was scared to log on here because I was scared that Amy would be dead that day. I'm happy those times are over!

I take offense to Papa snatching that mike from Dionne. Quelle rude!
