Enrique Iglesias asked Amy Winehouse and a star-studded crowd if he could be their hero .. and they just talked over him!
When he asked them again, this time a bit louder, and was greeted by even more chit-chat, the toys came hurtling out of his pram.
Sparks flew as Enrique performed his cheesetastic dirgefest Hero at Universal record boss Lucian Grainge’s leaving do.
Present was Amy Winehouse, who arrived 90 minutes late with four security men in tow, and proceeded to natter away to lover Reg Traviss.
When Enrique started crooning, she put her beehive in her hands, and sighed dramatically, before shaking her head and sniggering.
Well, Enrique certainly has that effect on women.
Pouring his heart and soul into it, the lad looked gutted when he failed to provoke any interest from a crowd including Ronan Keating, Gary Barlow, the Kaiser Chiefs, Pixie Lott, Girls Aloud and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Breaking off mid-chorus, and giving Amy a withering look, he screeched: “Guys, come on! There’s too much noise. It’s like playing at a f****** Russian wedding but we don’t get paid. This is Lucian Grainge – come on.”

The crowd was stunned into silence and after she was given a sharp nudge in the ribs by Reg, even Amy shut it at London’s Mandarin Oriental hotel.
When Enrique had finished, he went around the room, shaking hands and air-kissing everyone – except Miss Winehouse.
We’re sure she won’t lose any kip over it – unlike him...
