Hopefully this isn't old news on here, but I just read on Digital Spy that it's been confirmed one of the Quincy Jones tribute songs that Amy recorded with Mark Ronson is 'It's My Party' (think there are two main versions of it out there, a '60s one and an '80s one).
Just sharing - know it's not headline news but it's a development...looks like things are finally happening in the world of Winehouse :bigsmilie:

Yay.. Love that song... I think I'll cry when I finally hear her voice again. The memory of it's beauty makes me stop to catch my breath. You forget how much that girl and that voice can affect you.

Statements from Mark & Quincy
"Amy and I are both incredibly honoured and excited to be recording this song for Quincy. The regard she holds him in is second to none," Ronson said in a statement released Wednesday (September 8). "We've gone back and forth on this track, fixing and improving it until we were satisfied it was good enough for Quincy."
"Amy's talents as an artist are undisputable and I am astounded not only by her voice but by her tremendous knowledge of and respect for music and its history," Jones said in the statement. "I am thrilled that she and Mark wanted to be a part of this album and I absolutely love what they did to make the song their own."
The album is set to release on November 9.

Quincy interviewed in today's Guardian...

Amy Winehouse features on the album, covering Jones's first hit as a producer, 1963's It's My Party. They met at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert. "We hugged and I said, 'Why you got to mess up your life like this?' She said, 'I'm gonna be OK. My husband's getting out of jail soon.' I said, 'Wow! That's a big positive!' She's like Naomi (Campbell), my other little naughty sister."
