I hope Dave was there!
First time I've ever heard her do a traditional 12 bar blues! How stylish to start on the 9th bar! Sounds totally improvised! Genuine blues! What a remarkable woman!
Forgive my ignorance..."totally improvised" as in ad libbing the lyrics?
If so, can anyone understand the gist/words?

Yay! It's Sue!
I think she's ad libbing everything! Can't make heads or tails of words or gist! Sound quality is garbled, not that that's the whole problem. lol Love hearing it whatever it is!
Tks Alan.
Me too!
It's like a breath of fresh air to hear it! Brings a lightheartedness to me...lol...even tho' it's the blues!

"so in the end I did my own thing...
I wrote...."
I think at around 4:14 she sings
"I said said I don't want to die
I said ?mummy? I, I said I don't want to die
I said help me...."

comment about her timing - mind you, about a completely different song: I Heard It Through the Grapevine, with Paul Weller....

I love Amy Winehouse's vocals. They are so raw... to the point I don't even think she warms up before shows. Her phrasing and most importantly, her timing are PHENOMENAL. A true talent!

I heard: I don't wanna die/I said look me in the eye / I don't wanna die.
I even dreamed it last night
