I really don't know beyond "2011". We were told January but that fell through for some unexplained reason. It has been said (by herself and her dad I believe) that she has been doing a lot of writing, so that gave me a good feeling that progress was being made.

Based on the Brazil concerts, I think she is doing the best she can now and living up to her current capabilities, and should be commended for that. It's major, major progress. If she needs more time to finish the album, I'm not going to give her a hard time about that, though I'm desperate to hear it. You can tell from some of the hotel pics that her body is still recovering, there's still fragility there. I want her to take care of herself, and I feel protective toward her. Hopefully these concerts will boost her confidence a lot and maybe speed up the album process.

the first several years in recovery are the biggest challenge. she is to be commended for getting back to work, but I think her best work is going to come with the passage of more time. and love

Even though she didn't sing any new original material in Brazil, I think her performances sounded promising and I believe a new album will come. But I also agree with Kev when it comes to recovery, it's not a quick or easy process and she shouldn't be pressured into anything she's not ready for. On the other hand any creative activity can be really therapeutic and helpful in the process, so for all we know her improvement is partly thanks to some amazing stuff she's been writing and we'll get to hear it when the time is right.
