Does Amy say 'Love is a faith resign' or 'Love is a fatal resign'? On the album it sounds very much like the former but in some of the concert footage she seems to annunciate 'fatal'. Either way it's a beautiful line, even though I'm not sure I quite understand it.

I've always thought it was "fate resigned". It is a beautiful line in a heartbreaking song.

"Anyone who sings a tune so sweet is passin' by..."

@what'sinsideher - somehow I never heard it as "fate resigned" until now. I think that's the interpretation I like the most.

ps: I really like your username and quote. It's a comforting thought but tragically all too relevant. I was listening to the album recently and that line jumped out at me as well.
