Is the best one I've read ...

In fact it's the only one I've read!

Don't know much about him but seemed to genuinely care about her and usually appeared in the various tributes.

You should read Amy Winehouse: The Biography by Chas Newkey and also Saving Amy by Daphne Barack and Nick Johnstone's Amy, Amy, Amy. They focus on different things, look at Amy in unique way and, I think, that's really good.

Personally, I don't prefer Nick Johnstone writing style ;-)

Amy, Amy, Amy by Nick Johnstone & Saving Amy by Daphne Barack are great books. They're very informative & well written.

I have read all three books, and I actually think Saving Amy was one of the best. Daphne came of as a condesending bitch and anyone with half a brain could see that she said one thing to the family (mitch and janis) and wrote another, but I think it gave an insight into Amy's frame of mind at the time and the way in which her family interacted with her. The whole episode with the dress in that book made me so sad:(
