I remembered her cover of Don't Look Back In Anger when I listened to the song last night and realized it's one of the covers I neglected a bit, and it's a special one.
So, a place to share your favourite Amy cover performances... It would be nice to have them all in one place and remember the good ones. Here are some of my favourites;

'Teach me tonight' on Jools is how I found Amy Winehouse. was listening to Dinah Washington videos on YT and that one was off to the side so guess I have to thank Dinah. <grin>

great thread, Elsie! no one could cover like her. she breathed new life into a song and made it her own.

I loved her version of Boulevard of Broken Dreams, especially in Florianopolis where she was sounding fantastic. Pay attention at 00:02 when I screamed a crazy "I love you". lol

And I love this version of Stagger Lee in Sao Paulo.

I also love this compilation of Amy singing Donnys Hathaway's "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" at Liverpool Academy and Union Chapel.

Haha awesome LOL

Another one from Brazil... I thought it was her new song when I first saw it. Another cover she made completely her own :)

I never realised there was a video attached to All My Loving. Its one of my favourites, its so warm and bittersweet and atmospheric. Does anyone know what occasion it was?

When she sang Outside Looking In and Boulevard of Broken Dreams I also thought those were new songs. So in the other day everyone was saying those songs were covers and I refuuuseeeeeed to believe. Haha. I'll never forget it. :) While I was listening to the song, I was thinking "This song is gonna be like 'Love Is A Losing Game' in the next CD" haha It was cool. Unforgettable.

You're so lucky to have seen her! Do you know if the entire concert was recorded? It would be amazing if it could be published on DVD.

Another great one;

I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus is epic too, sadly there isn't a video of it anywhere.

I always wonder if there is an actual studio version of this song unreleased. At one point she was talking about a Specials EP and I'm sure she said she had recorded it. Monkey Man, Hey Little Rich Girl and You're Wondering Now could have been intended for this and released.

There are studio versions of them on the Ska EP, along with Cupid. No Rudy though. That was the only cover she did that I did not like so I am kind of glad she didn't bother with it much... I think it's because she performed it most often in her worst days and it always sounded kinda odd.

^^^yep, that. me too. somehow when performed on the off-day, it sounded like a 33 lp record that had gotten kind of warped but you still tried to play it.
