I would think the worst time to leave a heavy drinker alone is Friday night. Seriously, it's the night every body goes out, it's the night you feel like wanting to go out, so if your on your own and a drinker or ex-drinker then you are more likely to have a drink. Mix that with Librium and your playing russian roulette...

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday OK - but Friday and Saturday worst nights to leave someone like Amy alone! >:-(

Another thing to take into consideration is that Amy didn't appear to have much structure to her days. She also had round the clock security so I really don't think anything else could be done.

I don't think the day has anything to do with it, if a person has a drink problem the day it is irrelevant. I know because I have lived with it.

Yeh I've had to live with it as well and I know that Fridays and Saturdays I often did drink because it was the weekend etc and you felt everyone was doing it so that was incentive to do it. What I've read is that Reg decided not to stay with her on Friday night, apparently they were going to meet the next night.
It's on record that she had alcohol and librium in her system when she died, so it's a case of 2 + 2 = 4 don't you think? Those 2 substances were on the premises so she didn't have to go out via security.
As far as I understand it Mitch was aware that it was dangerous to keep stop and start drinking as she was doing and they had warning from a Doctor about it. So the scenario I see is Amy on her own, decides to have a drink because she was on her own and you know the story.

I for one bet Amy would not have wanted to be 'babysat 24/7'?

I got from the tone of your message that you were looking for someone to blame. I think it's gone past that now. Amy was aware of the dangers and she was an adult who had the best of care at her disposal and round the clock security and yet this still wasn't enough. Sad, extremely but I don't really see how anything else could have been done.

No not really; just pieceing it all together in my own head. According to Wikipedia she was playing drums and singing till the early hours of Saturday 23rd July and went to bed after the security guard told her to stop the noise!

it was interesting to get Mitch's perspective on Amy's involvement with Blake. i wasn't aware she had lost her nan Cynthia just months before Blake reappeared. B2B was taking off and Amy was incredibly vulnerable. It also stuck me that Mitch used the word "charming" to describe Blake. I am acquainted with someone who has anti social personality disorder and the first quality that you see with him is his charm. But it's a superficial charm, a manipulative charm. I am convinced Blake is one of these people.
Anyway...I'm hoping someone can help me with some info on the version of Valerie that is played several times as they fade to commercials. I used to have it on my pc until it crashed. I would be so grateful. It's not been released commercially as an outtake or demo. thx

At least she was happy in recent months and getting herself back and found love with Reg. And got to record with Tone.
