Liked this part:

“She was really, since Elvis Presley and the Beatles and the Rolling Stones … she was the only singer that really sang what I call the right way.” Comparing her to Dinah Washington, Bennett said, “She was really a great jazz singer, a true jazz singer.”

Edit: Video played better for me from this site - http://latimesblogs....ate-night-.html

I am not sure why Tony Bennett would add to the rumors by saying that Amy knew she wouldn't live, but he did last night in an interview here.
I just don't think that is right, I mean she didn't say this, he is taking it as some sort of premonition.

To be fair that's just a small clip, I'd like to see more before I condemn him. As has been said, Amy didn't think she'd live to be an old lady. She wasn't stupid. She chose to live her life a certain way, and it took its toll on her to the point that she is no longer with us. I also think there was a certain energy and understanding between her and Tony; it strikes me he assumed the paternal role of mentor with her.
Amy flies in paradise xx
