see, the ballet shoes are the one thing about her style that I just don't get, wayyyyy too girly for me....and I have flat feet, so I just couldn't wear any shoe that didn't have any support. I guess you need to be small and dainty to pull those off, that's just not me.
I wouldn't say I'm small. I was around 5.7 feet four years ago, which is the last time I was measured.. and I haven't shrunk (as far as I know). I'm not too dainty either. And I am not much of a girly girl. I don't like pink (I never wear pink) and I HATE girly clothes (skirts, dresses.. you name it) I usually just wear a hoodie, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and my ballet slippers. I'm actually more of a tomboy, if I had to describe myself. I guess it has to do more with taste and what you're personally comfortable with. My ballet shoes are very, very comfortable to me. I guess you should just wear what makes you feel comfortable (when you can). Well, it works for me.

Me too!! no arch whatsoever... gym teachers would always laugh at how I run. And I've got a case of scoliosis so I need all the support I can get Regardless, even if you can deal with wearing the shoe, it's terrible for your feet/back. It's a shame, I love shoes... I just can't wear any. So I have no idea how people manage in flat/high shoes.
Amy wore those flats early on... I'm still debating how dainty she really was... I am, like a child, so I would've loved to meet her to see how big she would be next to me!
Oh, my tribute to Amy is... being more adventurous Considering I have no style, anything I add will be because of her!
