Hi all,
Sorry for delay in releasing my iTunes song. There was a copyright issue with the artwork, so now having new artwork done. The purpose of the song will be to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, so profits will go to the charity.
Although my song, is an independent release, and is minuscule in comparison to Amy's upcoming Album on December 5th, I wanted to ask your opinion on when would be a good time to release it.
Technically, I could probably release it next week, but I wouldn't want to distract from Amy's upcoming album. On the other hand, might it help to create more interest in Amy's upcoming album?
Alternatively, I could wait and release it in January, but maybe that would be too late for some people to relate to?
I'd appreciate all your opinions!

If I were you I'd release it before Amy's new album. I can't imagine it would distract from it in any way. I don't know if it would add to the interest in her album, I think there's plenty of that already, but the anticipation may mean more exposure for your song which could help raise awareness & funds for the foundation.
