Wot does she mean by between the cheats though? Like cheating in a relatioship?

I think she and Blake are the cheats. Cheaters both at the card game that is referenced and probably in the relationship as well. I love that, she was so good with words in that way.

I couldn't understand a lot of her singing here, but now that I read the lyrics I love them. It's just the sort of Amy I didn't think we'll be witnessing in a long time after 2008.

It's a shame her vocals are so bad on this, I honestly think Amy would never release this as it is, but what's here is here...

I don't think they're bad at all, it's just something she probably would have wanted to do over to make it perfect. I actually really love this song, the lyrics blend together so it is very difficult to understand certain things, but I get it. I like the way she was going with it and the lyrics are typical Amy. it's probably the only song that we'd be able to know what she'd be doing if she had made a 3rd album. Ugh, man...i wish she was here so badly ever day.

Remi suggested that a lot of it was written but not recorded - even in Demo. Although, considering she had facility to record in her home and was playing a lot he may not know all that exists.

Personally, and I don't mean this as a criticism or cynically, I think Island wanted the first release, Lioness, to be as commercial as possible. Hence the covers and the Back to Black tracks. The effect is great and I will treasure it, but I do expect that Remi or Ronson will work on further tracks, however their unfinished nature may lead to a less mainstream release, something more experimental, which I am all for!

I am sure that either producer will at some point revisit Frank and Back to Black to recalibrate it, which some purists would not approve of, but again I feel if it's done with integrity I am interested.

That picture made me cry even harder - but it was such a great surprise. I love it, too, and I am really grateful they put it there.



After classifying "Between the Cheats" as the song that I have to listen to a lot of times before likeing it, I can now say that it is one of my favourite songs from the new album. I am always excited when I know that it is the next one that will be played.
