What I want to hear Is the duet she did with Snoop dogg, It's a well know fact In the British media that she did record It back In 2007, why did they never put It out? Anyway, the twelve songs locked away are In fact the new or third album....fact. So what about the tenth anniversary album release of BtoB, apparently It's going to be very very special. Now just moving on a little, the soundtrack to the new cinema documentary? Amy Movie, on It's release In 2014, what says It contains something rather special?

I thought it was a well known fact in the British media that they went into the studio together but never finished recording that duet. I'm pretty sure Snoop himself said it never materialised...

There Is this journalist from the sun tabloid, cant remember his name, but he knew Amy personally and has gone on record asking for It's release, yes he said, he had listened to the track and loved It. Don't you think what people where saying and quoting whilst Amy was alive, are now contradicting themselves In her passing? I think so. I recall Cee Lo Green saying he had recorded a duet with her for the new album but after her death, he told the press that the song was never recorded because she would never turn up to the studio sessions. Also, I know this has been mentioned already but that statement from Dionne Bromfield, tells you every thing you need to know.

Unlikely pairing I have to say, but yeah, I can see It actually and should be good. Mind you, she was planning to record a track with Michael Jackson, now that would have been a duet.

King Marty - do you have a link to the statement of that journalist from The Sun? All I remember reading in the Sun back whenever they were meant to have recorded the duet was that they went into the studio together with all sorts of plans but never finished recording because they got stoned instead. I know the Sun has been known to pull more than a few stories out of its arse though so I won't take anything they say as gospel. Anyway, after Amy died Snoop said they never actually made it into the studio together at all...

I agree that many people seem to have changed their story after she died, but it could also be because it was in her and the label's interest to say the music was all there almost ready for release, when in actual fact there wasn't all that much that was up to scratch. I'm not saying there's no more material out there, especially because Dionne says there's some great stuff and why would she lie - but we all know how much of a perfectionist Amy was, so I'm not sure she would have been happy with releasing it.

You also state as a fact that 12 songs locked away are her third album, how are you so certain of that? I mean, wasn't between the cheats meant to be on the album and that was on Lioness instead? And however much we may like the song, there is no way Amy would have considered that vocal track good enough for release on the album imo and the same goes for a song for you, so who knows what the other recordings are like?

People with big ears should always keep them close to the ground, that way you'll never miss a thing. Did I tell you the part about when Amy presented her third album to Island and they where more than mortified ( great songs, bad vocals ) they had this big bust up with Amy and fell out, they rejected the album and locked It away...not her. They also rejected the reggae stuff she did, they thought reggae music was unfashionable at the time and nobody would want to buy It, even the track she did with Bob Marley's son at Tuff Gong.

Just thinking, I bet If Michael Jackson had lived they wouldn't have rejected the planned duet he wanted to do with her, If only.

While it wouldn't surprise me if they're true, all those stories came from tabloids originally.

King Marty - yes, I did read about those things too at the time, but like TBR said, they were stories in tabloids which are notoriously unreliable so I always take them with a pinch of salt. So much was made up by them about Amy during her life that I'd want to see further proof from more reliable sources. As you were stating things as facts, I was hoping you had some inside information I wasn't aware of. If you do, feel free to share it (and your sources if possible) ;)

I'm one of the people who really wasn't into MJ.
I was so delighted she got to work with people like Nas, Mos Def and Tony Bennett however.
I'm not saying she didn't like MJ but I'm just glad for the collaborative work she did do.

Amy never did record a reggae album, from this interview with Salaam ...

LargeUp Exclusive: Salaam Remi On Making Reggae With Amy Winehouse

On Reports That Amy Recorded An Unreleased Caribbean-inspired LP in St. Lucia:

We were there recording and stuff but there was never an album done like that. That was just people talking. Of course we had versions of other songs and we would flip reggae versions. We just knew we could do that. There’s a couple things but none of them are finished. There’s not a reggae album coming out. I could make one but it’s not like it would be recorded to make a reggae album. That wasn’t done.

Amy, if you are up there listening, thank you for sharing the incredible soundtracks of your life ...

Too bad he is not able to release it.
Maybe, someday .....

I remember all those tabloid articles about new material around 2009-10. I always suspected they were intentional "leaks" from the record company designed to lead the public to believe that the new album was imminent...in order to maintain interest in her, outside of the daily "troubled artist" bullshit. Remeber how Universal CEO Lucian Grainge had heard tracks and declared them "astonishing" or whatever. Rubbish. Then and now.

Facts and reality are the same, so never fear them. I realise some of my posts are controversial but that's a good thing yes? after all, this Is a forum so lets all just enjoy our Information we share. Did you know, well maybe not, but that Info about the so called reggae album Is true, yes, well you see Amy didn't do an entire album It was only about three tracks....true. Look, I can't give his name to you guys but there Is this music journalist, he Is white but specialises In reggae music and Jamaican culture, he has worked for Q and Word mag and also runs a controversial blog, controversial as In when he makes a post, rather like here, they get removed by admin or the record company, or, even the artists themselves.

Anyway, let me just say this, this fella does not have any Interest In Amy herself, just the fact she was at Bob Marley's place recording with his son Damian Marley. He reported that she did some stuff especially one track with Damian, he also mentioned that Amy would freak out all the Rasta's hanging around in the studio with her drunken antics and that Damian himself, had concerns about her welfare.

Island were more than excited by this collaboration but when presented with the tracks they where mortified by the lyrical content, all about drug taking, Blake and death, so depressing that they fell out once more and locked away the songs....bastards.

So, I will carry on, If aloud. When Amy passed away, Damian M was approached by the media on this matter and guess what he said? he told the press that Amy had never stepped foot In his fathers studio let alone recorded songs with him....liar. Oh! and just to rub It In, the very blog I mention has been removed....gone.

So now lets get on to the MJ matter. I did reply In the early hours of this morning but very strangely, It seems not to be here.
